Assisstance will be appreciated
I feel AVG is not conducting business properly, especially after the major debacle earlier, which essentially brought my systems to a halt. If you cannot explain icarus.exe nested within AVG, then the bigger question is, can anyone trust AVG to be safe?
Hi Bradley,
Thanks for posting your query in community forum.
As you have multiple issues with enhanced firewall component, to resolve it I have sent an email with the steps to connect to our remote experts.
Please check the email and follow the steps to start the remote session.
Using AVG Ultimate. (1) Getting lots of enhanced firewall questions concerning programs that include: Description: avast, Company: AVG Technologies, and path that includes apparent AVG file. Does AVG firewall not recognize AVG components as safe??? (2) Is icarus.exe (path: c:\windows\Temp.…\avg-tu\icarus.exe legit / safe? Should I allow? It shows digital signature, company shown as AVG Technologies, description is avast, protocol is TCP, includes remote address. If this is NOT legit, why is AVG not catching and removing? Thanks.
Michael, we have replied to your another post: https://support.avg.com/answers?id=9060N000000gWe1.
Please keep up the conversation through single thread in order to get quick assistance.
Thank you.
It'd be nice to have a public answer on that since I'm having the same issues, and for people in the future.
Is it part of AVG or not?
