Thanks Subhadeep, yes both of these are on and have been that way the whole time i.e. have not had to make any changes.

I use PIA VPN and up until 3 days ago everything ran perfectly.

Then suddenly my VPN will no longer successfully connect.

If I stop AVG 2015 firewall and start windows firewall all good and VPN can connect.

I have tried several different permutations and it looks like AVG FIrewall has spontaneaously started blocking my VPN from connecting.

I am not a new AVG user and this setup has worked fine for several years so I can only assume some AVG automatic update in the last 3/4 days has screwed it up.

Help!
