Avg "fix now" button not working

We appreciate your efforts, let's work together to fix it. Have you used AVG Clear tool before running remover tool? Could you share the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot of AVG user interface to check and assist you further?

My AVG antivirus says my computer isn't protected, and the fix now button doesn't do anything. I've tried re-installing, cleaning, removing tool, and repairing but none of these have solved the problem.

I am having the same problem.
Have AVG Antivirus free. Dashboard says Computer "Protected" and Web & Email "Protected".
Still says "Computer protection is turned off, FIX NOW"
Have clicked "Fix Now". Nothing changes. Have restarted computer, reinstalled, updated, all the basic stuff I should have to do.
The KEY thing I have found out is that clicking the FIX NOW button switches off Silent Mode in the Settings so presumeably AVGs money grabbing and unnecessary pop-ups can happen again. Does this mean that my computer is protected, but my dashboard says it isn't protected until I switch off Silent Mode and allow the barrage of pop-ups again?

Marcello, do you receive this error message also along with the warning on AVG user interface? However, to analyze the issue further, I need to submit your concern to our senior technicians along with other diagnostic logs.

Marcello, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Please reinstall AVG by following the steps from the below post and check if that fix the issue.

We will help you sort it out.
The issues might be because of old/previous AVG traces.
In this case, I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG Antivirus free. This will ensure that none of the previous traces of AVG are left on your computer and you have an updated version.
Please follow the instruction ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product ) to run AVG Remover tool and AVG Clear tool.
After the computer reboots, you can follow the instruction to download/install AVG Antivirus free.

Can the issue stem from the waring image i posted above "Follwing AVG process failed: -avgunix.exe"
