Secondly, do you have any other antivirus software installed in your computer than AVG Antivirus Free?
Thirdly, please repair your AVG Antivirus Free as mentioned in this article, restart your computer once & check if the issue persists.

To recreate this issue, toggle Enable HTTPS Scanning on / off and test www.stripe.com.
ON - Site throws HTTPS error
OFF - Site works fine

Can you bring me into further discussion? Cearly some financial websites are changing HTTPS security rules. I'd like to know if AVG will be writing a patch.

What's noteworthy is that no other website besides stripe.com was affected. I checked many.
