AVG Free Automatic Scan

Hello Marilyn,

Please follow the instructions from the article to setup and schedule a scan in your PC. Here is the link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-start-or-plan-a-computer-scan

Thank you.

Those are the same instructions I followed the first time. The scheduled scan never did  run.  I deleted that scheduled scan tonight  and set up a new one using the exact same instructions as in the link you provided above.  This time it did automaticlly run at the scheduled time, and even though I chose  to scan all files, it still said the last computer scan was two days ago.  So I did run a manual scan and now it says the last scan was 16 minutes ago.  So I don't know if the scheduled scan is working.

AVG Free automatically downloaded the latest version 17.3.3443.0.   I can't see how to set up a daily automatic scan.  Please tell me the detailed steps.  Thanks.

Thank you so much for your help, Pandi and Gunaseelan!  My scheduled scan is now running and I am now able to get a report after each  scan.   I also found the report stored in the Windows 10  hidden folder C:\ProgramData\Avg\Antivirus\report  under the name I assigned to the report when i first set it up.

Hello Marilyn,

Thank you.

Hello Marilyn,
We are really sorry for the confusion. In the AVG 2017 version Schedule scan will run only in background, however you can check the scheduled scan reports using the following instructions : Open AVG Zen -> Anti-Virus free -> Scan settings (Near Scan Computer) -> Schedule scan -> Report file -> Generate the report of the scheduled scans.
The AVG Anti-Virus free interface will show the details of the manual scan. Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.
