Hi Sarath. The error message was just a temporary issue while removing AVG and re-installing, that has gone away.
The issue with the Online Shield blocking my POST, GET and PUT commands does not generate any errors or logs in AVG itself, it just blocks my script from using the command, causing an internal script runtime error of "The requested action with this object has failed.". On turning off the Online Shield it works again.I can understand this may be a security protection, but there seems to be no way of creating an exception for this. It only affects other local IPs, if I do the same to Google site it works fine with the Sheild On.

This issue has now been resolved due to a recent engine update to AVG. I have had no feedback as to what caused the issue and that it has now been fixed however. I am glad things are working properly again as it was a real pain to have to disable this feature each time and may have left the machine at risk.
Thank you for your assistance.
The Remover Tool didn't remove AVG completely and I was getting an error message: "avguix.exe - Application error The exception Breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x58e0ccd7. Click on OK to terminate the program." and "Following AVG processes failed: - avguix.exe…"…
After re-installing AVG Free and removing again with AVG_Clear.exe (also found from this forum) in Safe Mode, all was gone. But on re-installing AVG Free the problem came back. It appears to be a bug in the latest build. Again, after turning off the Online Shield all worked again as before.
AVG has recently started blocking POST, GET, PUT commands to my Philips Hue hub device, which is on a local I.P. on my network (e.g. http://192.168.1.167). I am using the COM module "WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5.1" in an AutoIT script. If I use the same commands to, say, http://www.google.co.uk this works okay.
If I disable AVGs Online Shield component then all works okay to the hub. I have tried all sorts of exceptions for URLs, processes, etc., both in the Online Shield and the main engine. All have no effect.
Disabling the whole Online Shield module gets the commands working again straight away. Even unticking all the sub-components in Online Shield section has no effect, only disabling it entirely works. This has only started happening recently, a week ago all worked fine, so I assume some kind of update has taken place to AVG to make if behave differently?
Has anybody else had this issue or found a solution without having to disable this important feature (the whole Online Shield module).
Thanks,
Mark.
Hi Mark,
In this case Please provide the screenshot of the Bug in your PC that is shown by the AVG Free Antivirus.
Thank you.
