AVG Free blocking incoming IMAP mail to outlook

Hello Andrea,

I am sorry to hear that. Please disable AVG temporarily(http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-use-Passive-Mode) in your computer and check if you are able to receive incoming emails to outlook. If you are able to access, please let us know, so we can assist you further.

HI All,
AVG seems to be blocking incoming IMAP mail to outlook. I've changed ports once and it worked for a while- then AVG seemed to block that too.;
I have a work around by turning off the 'scan inbound mail' setting. However this is probably less than ideal.
I've seen other posts that say you can change the server settings within AVG  but I deont seem to have the same settings.
Any help appreciated.

Cheers

HI,
Have done all that- tried both secure and insecure ports. Neither will work unless I turn off the 'scan inbound mail' checkbox.
What can we try next?
Thanks,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Thank you for the update.
I request you to perform repair of AVG Antivirus free once as mentioned in this article: http://avgread.me/1BVxDSY and then perform the troubleshooting step as mentioned in this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-your-email-scanning-protection
The predefined port numbers in Redirect Settings are the port numbers used by the most common email providers, such as Gmail and AOL.
If you do not know the port numbers that your mail service uses, contact your email provider or network administrator, or refer to the settings section of your email client.
