I have the current build of AVG Free 17.3.3443.0 installed on XP SP3 and could not install the latest Flash Player (25.0.0.148). The Adobe installer would download the package, and when installation began, the process would fail.
After trying many other things, I found that temporarily disabling Resident Shield would allow the installation to succeed. I have used AVG Free on the same PC for many years and never had this type of problem before this version. It may be confined to XP, but AVG says they still support this platform.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
