AVG Free blocks all internet while updating game

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. Do you receive any threat detection pop up or an error message when the traffic is interrupted? Please be informed that AVG will block a download file if any malicious content is detected. It could also be a link to an ad in the download package.

While running my "Wargaming.net Game Center" and updating a game with a fair size download (say 350 megs or larger), AVG Free will at some point block all internet traffic without warning.

I have to turn off protection all together to resume the download, and let other things access the internet.

Any help here?

System-tray > Right click AVG icon > Turn off protection

Yes, that's what I have to do to get anything to work - but now my protection is turned off. After I'm done I can turn it back on - but I don't believe that AVG Free should be blocking the whole internet based on this one application with no notification.
