I have a laptop running Vista Home Premium and have used AVG free for a number of years with no problem. A few days ago my laptop kept Blue screening and restarting in options mode. I noticed that everytime when AVG went to update this situation would keep occuring. I picked a restore point and immediately disabled AVG then uninstalled it. Laptop remained stable so I have installed Bitdefender free and laptop has been stable for the last week with slightly improved performance. FYI
