With the new remover the same problem. "AVG Watchdog Service" still running.
I started Windows Program de-installation and there is a new reaction. Before the program installer showed an error message when I tried to de-install "AVG Protection". Now I get the message: An error occurs during de-installation of AVG protection. Maybe it’s already de-installed. Would you remove AVG Protection from Program and Features?

After restart, run AVG Remover and remove all AVG products.
Open AVG_Remover.exe (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe)
User Account control - click "Yes"
Click "CONTINUE"
Select all products, and click "Remove"
Click "Restart" and restart PC
After restart Click "Run" (Open file – Security Warning dialog) and let AVG Remover remove traces
Restart PC again

For about 1 year I can't start AVG Free. When AVG tries to start I got the Message "AVG can't accept the License number". Then I can only close AVG. Since this time I try to de-install AVG. I used all AVG-Remover I found (German, English, WIN10, and so on). I never ordered a License number. Till now it wasn't so important, that AVG was installed on my PC. In the meantime I used Avira free. But now during installation of a new Virus scanner + malware blocker the new tool tries to de-install AVG. As the de-installation not worked I cannot install the new tool.
Maybe important: The problem occurs first after the automatic update from WIN7 to WIN10.
How can I remove AVG?

Hi Karthikeyan, AVG Clean seems to work. After the first restart I started the remover. The Remover detects just "AVG Internet Security". I marked the Tool and clicked remove. I pressed the restart Button. After the restet no tool is opened. So I can't press "Run". I tried the renmover twice. No Sucess. In the task Manager I can find the running process "AVG Watchdog Service" and "AVG User Interface". I can stop "AVG User Interface" but not the "AVG Watchdog Service". During the stop I always get the Message about the Licese.

Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing AVG 2017 and its traces.
Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compability)
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"

We appreciate all your efforts in trying to fix the issue. Yes, please select positive response to remove the AVG program from control panel. It was already uninstalled from your device. Also, we request you to remove the traces of AVG as suggested below.
Go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders.
1. Type “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
2. “%temp%” and remove all the files.
3. %appdata% - Remove all the AVG folders.
4. %programdata% - Open the AVG folder and remove the old files.
Please go to c: drive-> program files and delete the AVG files. Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.
After de-installation in Control Panel/Program and removing the files AVG is de-installed.
