AVG Free detected about 1700......TIFF:CVE threats

Sorry for the trouble, it might be a false positive. Could you share the screenshot of that detected message? Provide us the full path of any one detection.

Open AVG free -> Menu -> Quarantine -> select a file -> copy its path here. Is your AVG free is up to date?

Hello to the community,

I use AVG Free and during the weekly Deep Scan last Monday, AVG detected more than 1700 tiff files infected with the TIFF:CVE-2018-4903 [Expl] virus.

It's the only time AVG detectes those threats. I don't know if it is something reliable or just false detections. I put a file in VirusTotal too for a scan, and again AVG and AVAST detected the threats.

The problem is that those tiff files are important files I'm using during my daily work as an engineer. I've quarantined those files, but I want to know what exactly is happening in order to restore them if there is a situation of false detections.

Yes, I update my AVG Free manually every day.

Just two random paths:

Leonidas, sorry for the delay. I would like to inform you that they are false detection and you can restore them from quarantine folder.
