AVG Free Email Signature with Email Shield disabled

Finally fixed this. I had to enable "Email Shield" (which required a restart), and that turned all settings on, but allowed me to change them. Turning email shield off again, so far now signature.

We will help you with the necessary information.

Please make sure whether the Email signature option has been turned off.

Open the AVG program -> Menu -> settings -> Basic protection -> Email shield -> Uncheck the option "Add a signature to the end of sent emails"

Then check for the issue again…

I have AVG free, with Email Shield disabled, however my outgoing emails (using gmail) still have the AVG email signature. How do I turn it off?
