AVG FREE expires in 11 days - if it is a a free version why it expires?

Your AVG FREE expires in 11 days , that's the message pops up at every Windows boot. If AVG is free then why it expires ?  In my opnion that's some kind of pushy sales strategy to compel me to pay for something that has a free version.   I read a post with same question on which the support suggests to the guy to uninstall and the to reinstall.  If I had to uninstall AVG to get more free time , it will be for good.  I am very fed up , it is as If I did not have troubles enough  . Please let me know it.

We would like to inform you that AVG Anti Virus Free will not expire as it is a free product. If the application says that it is going to expire in 11 days, please uninstall the AVG Anti Virus Free and restart your computer and then reinstall the application. My problem is that I am 80 years and my computer can use the drivers. I was billed yesterday for R 889.00x. Old No is (order number removed ). I you have an e mail addres I can send you how I tried to contact AGV. But all e mail me a s no reply. I am using AVG for more than 20 years.
