Hello Mark,
Do not worry, it is a normal behavior. The new update for AVG Anti-Virus has included AVG Zen. AVG Zen is an user interface and we can mange and access all your AVG installed devices from Zen. The drop down menu will work only if you login your AVG Myaccount in Zen network. Please log in to your AVG Myaccount in Zen.
Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.
Hello Everyone,
I have a MacBook Pro running macOS Sierra and I just installed AVG Free antivirus for macs to give it a try. I have noted that In the upper right corner of the AVG control panel, it shows that I am "connected". When I click this, the dropdown menu reads "you are connected to the following zen network" and shows my email address.
Furthermore, the dropdown menu has 3 additional options that are greyed out and inactive. These options are "Leave This Network", "Tell Me More", and "Visit AVG MyAccount". As just mentioned, I cannot access these options from the dropdown.
Is this normal operation? Do I even need to be connected to the zen network for just one lone macbook? If not, then why am I unable to disconnect? I find this zen network to be a bit confusing.
I would greatly appreciate any clarification or enlightenment provided upon this matter. Thank you in advance my friends.
