Hi. I had been using avg free for over 3 ys. I had w7 home system, and latest avg free version.
I install latest security windows update.
One day, my computer start to block, to halt completely.
No possible user interaction, no mouse, not click on anything is possible.
So I had to shutdown by pressing the button.
I check process and i find that avgsvc process start to take private bytes,
and in some moment, it takes more than 4 GB and the computer block
I read some post here, saying i should leave the computer to operate and do whatever it should do and it all going to get back, and run properly.
That day i leave my computer 6 hours with these operation (constantly hard drive working, without any second leaving the sound and light of been working)
No other program or web site where executing.
I do a lot of checks and avg is the issue here.
so i uninstall it, and everything work. No halt anymore.
I reinstall and, again halt.
I do a repair after reintall and it seems to work but, a few days later, again, when init my computer, it blocks it all.
So i contact by chat avg technical service, and explain it all.
Thay say i should had installed avg.
I do.
3 times that talk to technical services. 10 houras wasted.
the make me install logmein, they remote connect my computer, they dont see anything
and then, suddendly, computer blocks, and I think her remote connection suddenly doesnt work
I received an email saying there were "technical problems" involved remote connection and i should recontact to an operator
I just had 20 minutes to use my computer. My computer start very slowly taking 10 minutes to end the starting process
Add up the time to load avg technical web page, contact an operator, explain it all every single time, and then, it just leaves me with 2 or 3 minutes, after opeartor seems to think it over what i was explaining, and reading all the previous notes.
So, what avg ask me to do again is to contact an operator, explain it all, and wasting another 3 or 4 hours trying for these people understand what it means that my computer blocks all.
That the remote connection would block too, because of these
And that they were wasting my time.
It doesn´t work. AVG technical service doesnt use common sense on these
They try to do it, every time, same thing, wasting time, even when i explain it all
And then i read about other users having exactly same issue, but they paid for it
I would not pay for such a software that blocks my computer
and that AVG try not to accept her software had an memory leak problem
Well, for me, i think you had waste my time, and my confidence on your product
And there are not much time i will give you to use of my time, my computer, your remote connection to check things avg technical service doesnt want to understand.
