Hello Jen,
We understand how something like this can really try your patience.
To install AVG Antivirus in your pc, we request you to run AVG remover tool in your pc and then install AVG Antivirus free offline installation. To get rid of the error message we request you to run AVG remover tool to run the traces of it and then install AVG Antivirus free.
To run AVG remover tool follow the below steps :
Please click on the below link to download remover tool
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Accept the license agreement and then choose AVG Product and remove it.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

I have tried 3 times to install the Free AVG and all 3 times it failed. I installed something that was supposed to fix the problem. I ran it as instructed, restarted my computer got a pop up that said the problem was fixed and tried to install AVG again and it still failed. I got an error OxCOO70643.

Can anyone help me?
