We regret for the inconvenience caused. Since you have mentioned that you are getting the error regarding you are not connected to the internet, we would request you to follow the below steps to get the issue fixed.
Step 1: . Right click the Start menu and select Network Connections.
Step 2: Right click the network connection you're using and select Properties.
Step 3: Highlight 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)' and click Properties.
Step 4: Select option to use following DNS Server.
Step 5: Please try to use the this port number to configure your DNS.

8.8.4.4
Step 5: Click ok and try to reinsnatll your AVG program.

I could not get part of AVG to work so they told me to uninstall and reinstall it. I uninstalled it and when I tried to reinstall it I got a message that there was a problem during initialization. I tried to install it again and I got a message "Please Connect to the Internet", I am connected to the internet.
Please advise.
