Hello, I uninstalled the mcaffe antivirus tht cae pre installed in my computer before attempting to install the avg. Right now I dont see any other anti virus software installed on the program and  features. This is a brand new computer acer  aspire 3

I'm sorry to hear about this. Please go to control panel > program and features and check if you have installed any third party security program or any other AVG program on your computer.

Every time I run the avg free installing file avg_antivirus_free_setup.exe the installation stops without sending any messages after a while. I get up to when  I can see the bottom right corner message with the green progression bar but it disappears before the bar gets full and that's it. No message, no program installed, no nothing.
