Recently your free software is blocking websites that I have accessed for years. It says it is infected with URL:"SPAM
I want to be able to access these site, I tried to add the website address to exceptions for scanning but that does not work either

Please clarify whether you receive the notification while accessing the website on a specific browser or irrespective of browsers.
Do you find a particular website being reported as spam or a bunch of websites? or Do you find the spam notifcation for a email link?

If you suspect that these are false detections being mae by AVG, we request you to submit the detected websites for false-positive analysis using this link.
Once you've submitted the false-positive report, our concerned team will analyze the websites and if found harmless, they'll whitelist them right away. Furthermore, they'll update the status via email.
