Avg free mac scanner keeps stopping at 99%

Please collect Mac OS version by following the steps in this article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201260 . This is a known bug and our developers are working on a fix. I need to submit your concern to our senior technicians along with other diagnostic logs. I have sent you an email with steps on how to collect and upload the data required for analyzing your issue. I tried replying to an email asking what version of avg I'm using, but just get a 'no reply' message.
I can't find what version I'm using - where should I look? The updater says I'm up to date.
If the mac scanner has a known bug, I'll have to junk the avg system and try another antivirus system.

However, I have not been asked to provide diagnostic logs. Nevertheless, it might apposite for us to keep an eye on each other's posts.
