As I explained to you initally, when I try to click on the "Menu" or "My AVG" at the top nothing happens, no drop down or anything else, this is why I am asking for help so please dont ask me to access anything from the menu because I can't. The only way I can see the version installed is to click on the circle icon located to the right of where it says virus definition and it says it's 18.8.3071. (build 18.8.4084.409) release date 11/14/2018.From what I have read 18.8 is the version Windows XP needs. Thankyou for the reply and I will watch for your answer.

I think it would really help if you went back and looked at this entire thread of questions and start with reading the first one. You didn't answer the first one so you might not understand that I have already had this product installed once before and tryed to repair it once before and it didn't work. I then was told to uninstall it and reinstall it which I did but still have the same problem. Then you told me to try to repair it again which I just did and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. So to sum this up I have installed and repaired this product two times in a row and the MY AVG and MENU selections still don't work. I am not going to do it a third time. There has got to be something else going on. Thankyou.
I finally got around to running the repair but MY AVG and MENU still don't work, they dont light up when you move the mouse arrow over them nor do they do anything when you right click or double click on them. Just so you know, prior to doing the uninstall and reinstall I ran a repair on the initial installation and it didn't do anything then as well. When the repair runs is removes some files and drivers and reinstalls new ones and at the end says that the repair is complete. As of now I have downloaded this product from both your regular download web page and this last time from the web page that says specificly avg for windows xp so I am very frustrated that it doesn't work like you responses say it should. Do you have any more suggestions as what to do now? Thank you for trying to help.
I few months ago I installed AVG FREE on windows xp. After installing I noticed that the MY AVG and MENU drop downs in the upper right top of the page don't work. They don't light up when you put the mouse arrow on them or drop down when you left or right click on them. I got an emails back from you guys that said to uninstall and reinstall AVG FREE. Finally I got around to doing it but I still have the same problem. Also I have noticed that when I get an alert or suggestion open up in another box there is no x in the upper corner or any other way to close it, I have to restart the computer to make it go away. Any more ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Terry S.
