sorry. for "euphemistic" read "whitelisting"
BTW AVG Clear has also failed to remove AVG Update Helper so I'm not able to install an alternative at present.
I have got AVG antivirus Free. This morning it has started flagging AutoIt3Wrapper.exe as a problem and quarantining it. It alleges infection with AutoIt:BehavHeur-A. but I am confident this is a false positive and restored it with an exception. However, AVG does not seem to be recognising this exception and quarantines it again when I next run it.
Can anyone assist with getting this exception to function?

You're missing the point. I have submitted for euphemistic, and I have also set an exception in AVG locally, which appears on my exceptions screen. But the program goes on detecting regardless!
Can you explain that?
I apologizw for the inconvenience, Duncan.
