AVG Free on Windows 10: Issues

I had been running AVG Antivirus FREE on my Windows 10 computer without a problem. Recently it was automatically upgraded to version 17.9.3040, build 17.9.3761.278. I have two issues:
1. Before this upgrade, if I went to Control Panel, Security and Maintenance, it showed that AVG Network Firewall is active. It does not show it since the upgrade. Has this feature been eliminated from the version I am running?
2. I have a daily scheduled scan setup, and in the 'Scheduling' settings, I have selected 'Shut down the system after the scan finishes'. It always did this before the upgrade, but has not since. I have checked and it appears that nothing else has been changed on the computer. Can you explain what the problem is?
Thank you for your help.

Hello J. Howard,

I understand the inconvenience.
The second concern regarding AVG schedule scan doesn't shut down your PC is the known issue and confirmed as a bug.
We are working on this issue and will release the fix as soon as possible. Your patience is much appreciated.
You have mentioned that you are using AVG Antivirus free program in which Firewall is not present.
It will be present only in AVG Internet Security program.
You must have used the trial version of AVG Internet Security previously, hence, AVG firewall service would have been showed on windows security settings.

Hello Balasubramanian S,

Thank you for answering my questions, and I'm glad to hear that the failure to shut down after the scan is a known bug that you will fix. You also helped me solve a problem back in January, 2017, so I am very grateful for your good support.

Regards,
J. Howard

You are most welcome and thank you so much for understanding.
