I tried running AVG Free from an admin account, but it does nothing. AVG Free won't even start up. It just sits there with the "FIX NOW" message.

Sorry, I misread which date went with which message.
This is also a problem for me. Searching the internet I see SEVERAL people with the same problem, and your tech support acts as if they don't know about it - telling everyone to perform the same steps that don't work. Are you ever going to get a fix for this? I've had AVG for years now, but this is a deal breaker - if you cannot get it fixed then I will have to find something else.
I'm sorry I had the same problem as them and it's
been half an hour and pickleballbyyou I still can't solve it
I did that 2 minutes after this email last night. Still waiting for a response.
AVG Free on Windows XP SP3 says You are not protected and the FIX NOW button does nothing. Any ideas how to fix this?
My issue was over 5 years ago. I have no issue today.

Hi,
I am just posting here to say that I have EXACTLY the same problem: i.e the new upgraded version of AVG Free on Windows XP Service Pack 3 will continue to say "You are not protected", no matter what I do.
Keen to hear of a fix.
Jim
