Have you tried to run the AVG remover tool from the link we have provided. If you have not tried that, we suggest you to try the same http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV and that will remove the AVG program from your computer and you can reinstall the same from this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free.

I'm using AVG Free Edition on a Windows 10, 32-bit PC.  On the AVG home screen, I get the following notice:  "You are not fully protected.  Computer: computer component is not active."  On the Computer tab, it says "Update Required."  However, when I click the "Fix All" button, it does solve the issue.  I tried manually running an update under Options … which says that the update completed successfully!  However, it does not make the error message disappear.  Has anyone encountered this issue?

I'm using window 7 32 bit pc, installed AVG Free Edition.On AVG window red message comes "Component is not active'.I have tried previously shown instruction (http://avgread.me/1BVxDSY) but trouble  still here. what to do?

Thanks for reply.Trouble is still here. Message coming on flag of Notification Area "turn on AVG free Antivirus" but clicking on button is not working.
