Am hoping someone out there can offer advice, would be sooooo grateful 
I have AVG Free Protection installed. Am trying to view my AVG Free Protection security checkbox but am unable to because a great big AVG PRO advertisement completely covers it thereby hiding it from view. Delete it!! I hear you say … tried this umpteen times but nothing happens when click the delete X.
After tearing my hair out, in desperation I changed my password, frustratingly still no luck!!! Aaaargh :-/ Looked for AVG Free Security Links, sites ANYTHING but no success.
Pleeease can anyone advise and help me solve this problem? Thank you in anticipation xx

We are sorry to know that your computer screen is blocked by AVG pop-up. To close this pop-up, we suggest you to open task manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del. From the task manager, please "End Task" the process of AVG and check if that close the AVG pop-up.

You are not alone. I had a similar problem years ago. My solution finally, was to completely remove AVG from my system and use a combination of other free ware. They were good and not really as good as the Free AVG. Finally I have returned to the fold and am using AVG Free.
I did try one of the AVG free trails for upgrading and it actually got worse with the pop upsThen I cleared the system of AVG as best I could. Like you I think I sent an email to a Customer Service link to no avail.
