AVG Free scan times and objects scanned fluctuates greatly

Hello Roger,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Could you please check if any recent Windows update have been done in your computer, this may be the reason for the increase in the objects in your computer?

Why does my daily AVG free scan, which usually scans 230K objects and 8-10 minute run time, suddenly jump to 280K  and 41 minutes for no apparent reason? This occurs after 5-6 normal scans, then jumps to 280K. Not downloading or installing new software and my scan speed is set to fast. Any explanation for this happening?

Thank you for the quick response. I did update/install 23 Updates on my Windows 7 computer on 7/23/16. The 50,000 additional objects scanned did not occur until 8/6/16,13 days later, and again yesterday 8/8/16. No additional Updates have been installed since 7/23/16

Roger,
Please note that the AVG also scan variable folders like Temp folders, hidden program files and registry entries So the scan running files count may differ for each scan. Thank you.
