Thanks for your message.
When I uninstalled I went to AVG website, was first asked if I wanted to repair or uninstall. I tried repair first, which
had no effect. I then went to the list of apps in the start menu, selected AVG and uninstall. I did not come across the AVG Clear/remover tool.
Where can I find this tool?
The software version is 18.5.3059, virus definition 18062-4

Sorry about delay. I tried to reply through e-mail I received saying you had answered… This is first time I have used a support community.
I have been using scheduled scans in AVG Free for many years. A few weeks ago they stopped running at the scheduled time. I have:
deleted the schedules and reset them
uninstalled AVG, re-started my computer and reinstalled AVG
reported the problem to Support, who took me through test I had already done, and sent me here

May I know if you have reinstalled AVG Antivirus free using AVG Clear/remover tool? Also let me know the version of AVG Antivirus free (open it > menu > about) installed on your computer.
