AVG Free Support For WindowsXP SP3

I've heard rumors that AVG will no longer be providing the same level of support for WindowsXP SP3 that they have in the past and I have several questions.

I'm still running WindowsXP SP3 on three of my computers. All three systems are running AVG Free Ver. 18.8.3071

1.) Will Ver. 18.8.3071 ever be updated, or is this the last version update I will get on these machines?

2.) Will I continue to receive virus definition updates on these machines?

3.) If I should run into trouble with AVG Free on these machines and need to remove it, will the AVG Clear Tool and AVG Remover Tool continue to work on these machines?

Thank you for your clarifications. I'm still confused about one thing. You say I will continue to receive program updates for AVG Free Ver. 18.8.3071, but that seems to be at odds with this article Antivirus for Windows XP | AVG Free Download where it says "we no longer provide program updates".

Which is correct?

Hi Jim, 

We'd be glad to clarify it for you. 

Program updates are different from the virus definitions. You will be receiving updates for virus definitions regularly. 

The security provided by AVG will remain the same. However, the program updates will be stopped later and the new feature in the latest version will not be updated.

We'd be glad to clarify. AVG version 18.8 will continue to work and protect your Windows XP SP3 PC. Latest virus definitions will also be released for the program. AVG Clear and Remover tools also will work on XP.

Just so I'm completely clear on this…
Even though Ver. 18.8 will protect my machines, will I ever get an update to Ver. 18.8.3071, or will there be no further updates to it on my WinXP SP3 machines?
Will future versions of the AVG Clean and Remover tools work on WinXP SP3, or do I need to download the present versions of these programs to ensure they work on XP in the future?

Jim, you will receive new program and virus definition updates for AVG 18.8 version on XP SP3 PC. Regarding AVG Clear and Remover tools, we do not have any information about the future versions yet. We can only confirm whether they work on XP or not when there is an update. As of now, AVG Clear and Remover tools work on XP SP3.
