I am sorry to hear this.
Please try uninstalling AVG Antivirus from control panel http://avgread.me/1DEtNP0 and in the uninstallation screen startup you will have option to "Switch back to free".
If you find it please click on it which will install the AVG Antivirus free.
If that doesn't help then go ahead in uninstalling the existing AVG Antivirus program and then install the latest AVG Antivirus free version using this link: http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/Antivirus_Free_1817.exe
NOTE: Please note that during the installation you will get two options "Basic Protection" and trial of "AVG Internet Security". Please make sure that you click on "basic protection" and proceed with the installation.

Prior to purchasing AVG PC Tuneup I had it installed as a free trial on my main PC ( used mainly for internet access ), running alongside AVG Free which I have used for many years.

 I recently signed up and purchased AVG PC Tuneup, I added it to my main PC and all of  my four laptops ( rarely used for internet access — mainly for AVG updates ! )  which already had AVG Free installed and running successfully for several years.

But, since doing this, have now lost access to AVG Free on all of my laptops.

Instead, I get a message : " Your trial has expired. .Buy now to get back your full protection". when I try to access AVG Free.

How to I get AVG Free back onto my laptops ?
