AVG Free Ver 17.6.3029 Menu

Hello Karthikeyan;
I have been looking through other postings on this site and all sorts of people are complaining about the update to 17.6.3029 causing the same problems I am having:
- the Menu only has two items working namely "Settings" and "Help"
- "Last computer scan:" and "Virus definition:" both say "a few seconds ago" which is not true
- neither running "repair" nor "clear + remover + re-install" have provided any resolution to anyone
It would seem AVG has a problem with this new update. Before I waste any more time trying to fix this issue, has AVG done anything to correct the bugs in this update?
Jim

I am running WinXP SP3. Several days ago, AVG AntiVirus Free updated to version 17.6.3029 from version 3022. Since that time the "Menu" at the top right of the screen is not working properly. Only "Settings" and "Help" are working. All other choices do nothing.
Also, at the bottom of the screen "Last computer scan:" and "Virus definition:" both say "a few seconds ago" which is not true.
I performed a repair on the installation, but the problems still persist.
What is wrong?

Hi Balasubramanian;
I have been suffering with this problem with update 17.6.3029 for over three weeks now. I have not been notified of a fix being made available or of an update being available. When will this problem be corrected?
Jim

Hi Akash;
I'm afraid you didn't really answer my question.
Has AVG accepted the fact that they have bugs in this new update 17.6.3029 and are they working to fix them?
Jim

I have exactly these same problems.

Neither running "repair" nor "clear + remover + re-install" have provided any resolution.

Virus definition really is updating, so showing incorrect times is a minor inconvenience.

But without access to the "quarantine" menu item, I am reluctant to run a scan.

Additional help would be appreciated.

Hi Abirami;
I have just updated to the new program version 17.7.3032 and my issues with the program interface appear to have been corrected.
