AVG Free/ where is the "archive" file?

Hi Balasubramanian,
followed your instructions, no joy. the files that i archived were not there. as a matter of fact, nothing was in the archive folder. i have googled the problem and i am not able to do any of the proposed fixes because i can not run any programs (.exe). I must give this some more time, because i don't want to do a wipe and install.

Hello Marty,

Please be informed that if the threat detected by AVG and removed then the file will be present in the AVG Virus Vault.
To restore the files moved to the AVG Virus vault, please follow the instructions  mentioned in this link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-restore-or-remove-file-from-the-Virus-Vault .

ran a full scan and AVG came back with a warning about 2 files. so i clicked archive . now i can not launch any App's on the desktop.

Hi Karthikeyan,
i followed your instructions, but ran into a problem when i found the files i think are causeing me the problems. there is no "restore" files when you click on "view details"

Hello Marty,
We are sorry to know that the issue persists. In this case, we suggest you to follow this steps and see if you are able to see the files that were archived. Please open the AVG program and click on the "Options" tab and select History->Scan results. From there you can see the recent scan results and the files that were detected as threat. You can click on the file and select "View details" to restore the files.
