Got an update via Facebook from AVG. They informed me of the following.
Hi Allan. I'm sorry about the inconvenience caused to you. Unfortunately, there is a temporary issue with our update servers causing automatic updates to fail for some customers. I'm sorry. This doesn't happen usually. However, we are working on this issue and will be fixed soon. As of now, please follow the below steps to update your AVG Antivirus Free manually:
1,Go to Download Free Antivirus Software for PC | AVG Virus Protection
2,Select the update files you need (typically Virus definitions and All necessary modules for your operating system) and download them.
3,Open your AVG program.
4,In the menu Options, click Update from directory.
5,Navigate to the folder where you stored the update files, and click OK.

If the problems continues, please visit our Support Center. (Which is not much help) Takes to only full version information.
Not using any third party Firewalls AVG 2015 is listed to accept connection. Netgear hub is being used. No other settings I can find to change.
