AVG Free with Zen Update Failed + More

To advise you, I rebooted computer & AVG protection came alive.
Did update & then scheduled scan.
This took longer than usual any ideas why?

Today update failed
Now AVG Screen showing as "No Active Components"
First screen says "Updating" but this has been showing for 30 minutes
2 messages:-
1 E mail scanner not working
2 Ident Protection not working
Advise please!!
