I use AVG Internet Security and TuneUp Utilities. I switched from Kaspersky for well-known reasons. But now I regret the switch.
Aside from the fact that more and more functions are being outsourced to paid, standalone applications, the constant advertising and reminders are incredibly annoying. I’ve turned off all notifications, but after an update, everything is always overwritten. With TuneUp, I hide everything I don’t need, but after the update, it’s all displayed again, and I have to enable and then disable each item individually.
Why can’t you get a handle on ensuring that settings are retained? And when I say I don’t want to see any ads, not even for cybersecurity because you’ve supposedly discovered something new that I can protect myself against with a paid program, then I never want to see it again. It’s so annoying and intrusive, and you increasingly get the impression that it’s all about the money.
If I hadn’t had two 10-device licenses for two years (yes, we have that many devices), I would have switched away from AVG long ago. Get back to the important things, namely security, stop your intrusive advertising, and get your applications working properly again.
