i had the same thing yesterday (same day as donald above).
the alert showed the msfeedssync.exe with IDP.GENERIC.
it continued moving it to quarantine endlessly so i closed the detection window.
after restart today i looked into the quaratine but the file (msfeedssync.exe) wasn't in there and it wasn't in the system32 either.
i couldn't find that file again.
so was it a false detection?
we both (thread starter and i) are probably not the only ones with this same issue.
I have the same problem the IDP.Generic msfeedssync.exe file is in the quaratine folder, is it safe to restore it . After reading Bhuvaneswari Vairavan's reply not sure if to delete or restore it.

Hello Donald,
I understand that AVG detected msfeedssync.exe as threat and still moving to quarantine. Please close this detection window and check in quarantine folder, if this detection is saved. If not, please run a complete scan in your computer and see if this file is detected as threat again. This may be a false detection as well.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. The alert showed the msfeedssync.exe it continued moving it to quarantine endlessly so i closed the detection window and rebooted. However, all my systray items and every item I had pinned to the taskbar disappeared. I couldn't use the start button and seemed to be dead in the water. I unquarantined an item (I don't remember which one but it was the top one) and rebooted and everything came back.
Keith, it is safe to restore, as we have confirmed that the detection is false positive.
Best regards,
Alok.
