AVG has disabled MS Edge

Hello Peter,

This isn't the experience we want you to have.

We will certainly check and help you to resolve your problem.
What error message you get when you try to open the Edge browser?
Could you please share us the screenshot of the error message?
Refer this article for the steps to capture the screenshot : https://bit.ly/3Eyjh3Q
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Also check if the browser is out to sleep in the AVG TuneUp.
Go to AVG TuneUp >> Speed Up >> Background & startup programs.
Check the list of applications that are put to sleep.
Thank you and please keep us posted.

Prior to renewing my AVG Ultimate, i had full access to MS Edge, (My preferred browser in Win 10)
Once i renewed my subscription and updated the apps, i am no longer able to access MS Edge.
I get the following error:
Hmmm… can't reach this page

The connection was reset.

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
Hide details
Check your Internet connection
Check your network cables, modem and routers.
Allow Microsoft Edge to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it's already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server:
Check your proxy settings. You might need to ask your organisation if the proxy server is working. If you don't think you should be using a proxy server, go to Settings > System > Open your computer's proxy settings

The AVG support line has so far not responded, which is unusual. It was a very responsive and high Standard.
This is not an MS Edge issue, it is an AVG issue. I have tried to follow the recommended support pages, to no avail.
If i am unable to use MS Edge, i wll not renew my subscription.
Kind Regards
Long term AVG subscriber!
