AVG has disabled my webcam

Liz,
I appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue. You should right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock to disable it temporarily.  Firewall options to allow or block applications will be available in paid versions.

Hi,
AVG seems to have stopped my webcam from working and is blocking my laptop from even knowing there's a built-in webcam. I previously posted about this and got a reply from AVG but it was from a "no-reply" email address so I can't notify them that their suggestion didn't work as the option to "disable protection" is not there when I right click on the desktop AVG icon. Just to clarify, I'm using the free version of AVG and cannot find any webcam options with the menu options when I follow other advice for the same thing on the online community.
Many thanks,
Liz
