AVG has suddenly changed

Thank you very much. I followed your recommendation and it worked well. However, it caused some more questions from me when compared with the previous version:
1. There is no log of scanned items, which I have found very useful.
2. Under "Menu - Settings" Firewall shows as "On" but does not appear on the main screen (the screen which shows all the elements which are protected)

I look forward to your help with these items.

Hello Walter,

I regret for the inconvenience caused. It seems that the AVG program installed in your computer got updated to the latest version. The update might have not completed properly and that might have caused this issue. Please remove the older version of AVG completely from your computer control panel and install the latest version from this link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security. If you face any difficulties, feel free to contact us.

Without warning my AVG page suddenly changed to something similar to what was there before, but the page showed that I had never scanned my PC (in fact I have been running a system check once a week), it did not show a field for Firewall, it did not have a "History" field and stated that I had a "free" copy, all of which is wrong - I have been a paid-up subscriber with an automatically renewable subscription for years. Now all I get is a message starting with "Well this is embarrassing" even after several shut downs and boot ups of my PC. So I do not even know whether I am protected. This makes me very uncomfortable and I am considering switching to one of your competing technologies (although I would rather stay with AVG) unless you can respond immediately with a "cure" for my problems.

You're welcome Walter,
You can find the scan reports/logs in the following location,
Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista: C:\ProgramData\AVG\Antivirus\report
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVG\Antivirus\report
You can also open the AVG user interface on your desktop, and click the gear icon next to Scan Computer > Select Schedule Scan> report files. Regarding AVG Firewall, please be informed that AVG Firewall (which was in 2016 version) has been changed to AVG Hacker attack in AVG Internet Security 2017 version. So If AVG hacker attack is active on your computer then AVG Firewall is also active on your computer.
Best regards,
Alok.
