AVG icon not in the taskbar upon startup

Hello Steve,
Sorry for the delay. Please clear notification area cache as described at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/13102-notification-area-icons-reset.html. Please also check how the situation looks after few minutes after login - it may take some time to load the tray icons. Check if you have any conflicting applications installed in your computer that may stop this loading of system tray icon.

May I know the operating system of your PC?
Did you try dragging the AVG icon to the Taskbar?
Please mention the name of AVG program and is it free, trial or paid version?

Anyone else having the same issue the last few weeks? Before, upon computer startup it was always in the taskbar when the computer was turned on. I do see it is running when I open task manager, just odd it changed for me as far as taskbar is concerned. Just wondering if this issue has affected anyone else.

Thank you for clarifying that you don't have AVG showing up on the system tray.
You should be having the AVG icon on the system tray list.
Please click on the system tray and select "customize", from the list check the status of the AVG program and let us know the status.

Hello Steve,
We apologize for the inconvenience. Have you tried to customize the system tray icon after the reboot and checked if you are able to select show notification and icon? Try to set this option with AVG window open in your computer.

Thanks for your help, unfortunately doing this has not changed the issue either. Just strange it has happened all of the sudden when for years I have had no issues with AVG

I attempted that as well on a cpl occassions and that didnt work either :frowning:
