Greetings,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. Let us help you with this.
Initially, we'd like to clarify that there cannot be multiple security software on the same system, as they would compete for resources, conflict with each other & none will work effectively.
Regarding the browser, the option to either incluce or exclude installing the browser is available in the installer wizard of AVG protection program.
Sometimes, users might overlook this option during the installation process.
If you reconsider, please reinstall AVG programs & get back to us for further assistance.
Hello there. Please accept my apologies for the delay. My name is Jovana and I'm writing to you on behalf of our senior support team.
I completely understand your frustration, and I'm sorry for all the discomfort caused to you and your relative by these negative experiences. This was certainly not our intention and I appreciate you sharing your experience about this with us.
Regardless of whether the feedback is positive or not, we always consider it and use it to improve our software, service, and support, thus creating a better overall experience for our customers.
As my colleague advised, this is not something that is supposed to happen, and I'm sorry we didn't have the chance to further look into it. It was definitely something that needed to be investigated and escalated to our specialists.
In case you change your mind, you or your relative can always contact us back, so we can investigate these occurrences more thoroughly or help with any other issue you may have.
So avg is not malware, uninstall it immeadatly!
used avg for years, today the outlaws asked me to fix their computer. low and behold avg has installed a browser without their permission that they didnt even know about but was using 50% of the computer resources, INCLUDING INTERNET BANDWITH. as it turns out the other half of the resources was taken up by avast which they had installed when the computer got slow because they thought AVG missed a virus (when it was the sodding virus slowing down the computer) and avast pulled the same crap installing a browser and making the computer unusable! FYI this is a gen 9 i7 with 8 gig ram and it was so swamped after startup settled it took 4 minutes to bring up the blue screen from ctrl-alt-del and anothe 7 to get the task manager to start.
so i spend an hour unstalling the 2 viruses... but they dont go away after install and the processes cant be quit. WTF im thinking.
long story short, you have to restart in safe mode, then go through the registry (smd - regedit) and remove about 600 entrys per installed program. tweaking and cclean have the same BS going on if you still ahve issues. DO NOT INSTALL ANY OF THESE!
malware

1 50% of system resources for an antivirus istaking the piss, and malware regardless of what else is installed
2 the checkbox on the browser install is designed to be missed, dont bullshit everyone can see through it. And as my relitive has poor eyesight he missed it.
3 uninstalling a program should remove it from the system. after uninstall this program left processes that still used 20 percent of system resources and had over 200 hooks in the system resgistry. thats a virus!
4 i will NEVER reinstall avg! i have written to the goverment IT ombudsman and consumer protection agnecys for the uk, germany, france, finland and the EU to make them aware of how fradulent your program is (and avast as well), and all of the damage your program can cause.
