Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Actually you mentioned that you downloaded the AVG free antivirus but in the error message you have received as AVG Internet security installation failed.
Did you get "Description: event exec finished" error along with this code 0xC0070643?
Also try using AVG remover tool and then install AVG free antivirus.
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.

Hey, I have the exact same problem. I turned on my computer today and my google chrome wouldn't work and I couldn't load AVG. So I deleted it and tried reinstalling it, but the install bar stopped at 92%. I resart my computer and tried installing again and this time I had the error 41226. So I did exactly as you said, and downloaded the removal tool. Once I did the remover said I didn't have any AVG products installed, but I hit remove anyway. Restarded my computer again and deleted those original installers, and them re downloaded the AVG free antivirus, but the same issue occured. Error 41226.
Evertyime I try and download the free AVG Antivirus it comes up with an error. The download I use is from the following link "AVG 2024 | FREE Antivirus, VPN & TuneUp for All Your Devices. Once having installed the program and logged into my account, it starts to download protection but then stops at 96% and comes up with the following error "Sorry, An unknown issue has prevented Internet Security from installing. Please give it another try, and if the issue persists, contact our friendly support team and give them this error code: 0xc0070643."! I've tried unistalling/reinstalling it and trying to redownload all of the four elements on the program but it always comes up with that error.
Does anyone have any solutions?
