AVG installation is corrupted

My AVG 2014 Internet Security won't update because "the installation being corrupted".
I have Windows 8.1.  When I upgraded from Windows 8, I had to uninstall and reinstall AVG.
Now it won't update.
Is there a fix for this?
Should I ask for my money back?
