Hi 
I am having trouble downloading AVG Antivirus Free version having had it previously on my PC.  
When I try to download it from the AVG website, I keep getting the error message:

AVG Antivirus installer is unable to continue because the installer is corrupted or is forbidden to run on this machine.  For more information please see the Setup log file
Reason: 41226 (0x0000A10A) (DNS resolve error)

What am I doing wrong and how can I resolve this?

Could you confirm the version of Windows OS that you are using?

Hi just wanted to update you.. sorry I haven't got back on here sooner but when I logged on to my lap top this morning AVG launched despite all the error messages last night.. I had given up last night and not sure why it started working this morning but most relieved!
