AVG intefering with an un-install program

Thanks, John…I am not clear how to disable AVG from inside the program…Is that a setting within Windows 7? All I know is how to uninstall.

Greetings - i am having an issue of not being able to un-install a robust program in order to re-install it fresh…The key developer suggests that AVG free - my only anti-virus - may be interfering with it, - where the uninstall proceeds for a little while but then says

"operation cannot be completed - another program may be using the folder or a file within it."

I have run AVG - it has removed 3 insignificant threats…And no resolution…
Any thoughts…I am running windows 7 on a new lenovo computer…Thanks, will

Have you tried disabling AVG before uninstalling unnamed program?

Right-click system tray icon or look under Advanced Settings. However I never heard of AVG blocking uninstall of another program (install maybe). If it was me, I would boot into Safe Mode, then try to uninstall the mystery program.
