AVG Intenet Security Disappeared from my PC

The info I meant to put in my original msg was that somewhere between the time I last looked at my AVG and when I noticed it was gone, the huge Microsoft update occurred.  I don't know for sure that the update was done first, but I'm wondering whether it could have done something to AVG and Driver UPdater.  I did get AVG reloaded. I KNOW  I personally did not delete either software package.  I have re-installed AVG and it is wrorking fine…  I'd really like to know what happened to them!
Thanks.

  1. I am the only person who uses this PC.
    2. I did not, at any time, restore the PC to an old restore point, or to ANY restore point.
    3. I did not remove AVG.

That is why I am trying to find out what happened. I don't want it to happen again to this PC or to the other four I take care of at our house. I am pretty darn conversant with how these machines work, having done computer support in a large office for a number of years, so I can usually manage them quite well.  This issue is really bothering me.

I don't like mysteries when they concern equipment I rely on.  And I don't like having people make assumptions about what I MUST have done!  I realize that what happened isn't logical and shouldn't have been able to happen, but it did.

Thanks for trying to help.  I did re-install AVG and it is working fine.

I'm traveling and admittedly haven't looked at my PC closely.  About a week ago, I discovered that Internet Security and Driver Updater had been completely removed from my system.

I'm wondering whether anyone else has had this happen.  I have just re-installed Internet Security with no problems. I will do Driver Updater when I get home.

Hello Jean,

AVG will never get uninstalled automatically.

This might be done manually or any conflicting security software installed on your computer and cause this issue.

If you face any difficulties with the installation, please let us know and we will assist you further.

This is very unlikely that AVG got removed by itself. This might have due a failed windows update or some other Windows operation(Which we are unaware).

We request you to continue to use your computer.

If the issue persists, please let us know and we will escalate to the senior most team for analysis.

There is no chance for the program to be removed automatically from your PC.

You might have restored your PC to the old restore point before the installation of AVG program or either someone should have removed it from your PC.

Because no software will be removed from the PC without the knowledge of the user.
