Hello Mary,
We are aware of this issue which has been fixed recently. Please update your AVG Internet Security, restart your device and check with its status.
Go to AVG Internet Security -> Menu -> Settings -> Update to update your product.
Thank you! That worked. I printed your instructions for future reference.
This problem is occurring again (seems to happen every year at this time when I am in my busy tax season). The document could not be saved… AVG window pops up and I can block app or allow app. I select allow app everytime but it is still not letting me save a changed pdf file. I have checked and under hackers the program is excepted, and I looked through and added all programs for CutePDF. So… I have to save the file under a new name, then go back in and shred the old file to clean up old information. Please help me again! Thank you,
Cannot use my program to apend, change, merge, etc. PDF files. CutePDF is a skin over Adobe Acrobat which allows me to make changes and manage my PDF files. I get this error when trying to save a file that I tried to change: 'The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another application may have it open." Program support feells it is the virus software using a registry cleaner. How do I exclude this program/files from this? This just started recently, and I use CutePdf 300 times per day.
It is 1.0.143. Thank you
Mary,
I appreciate your efforts. Please follow below steps to unblock PDF application from the blocked list of AVG Ransomware protection:
1. Open the AVG Internet Security and click on 'Hacker' tab.
2. Click on 'Open' button in Ransomware protection component.
3. Select the Blocked/Allowed apps tab.
4. Remove the PDF application from Blocked app list.
5. Click Close to return to the main Ransomware Protection screen.
You're most welcome Mary,
I'm glad to hear that the issue has been resolved. Feel free to contact us again if you need any further assistance.
Cheers,
Alok.
Mary, this is not a valid version number.
Please open AVG Internet Security, click on "Menu->About". From here you can see the version of AVG installed.
It should be either 19.1, 18.x or lesser.
Thank you for your quick response, I updated, no fix, so I re-downloaded the program and installed it, still having the same issue.

Smart mode is enabled. No email regarding remote access, however, I prefer to use that as a last option as my business requires I maintain security to my files.
Sorry that was the UI version, was in a hurry. It is 19.1.3075 (build 19.1.4142.454). Virus definitions cersion: 190130-4
Thanks for confirming the program version.
