AVG Internet Security 2015 won't uninstall

I upgraded my paid version of AVG Internet Security from 2015 to 2016 and from 2016 to 2017 (I was continiously updating my license). Now AVG Internet Security 2017 is stuck in a Passive Mode. It says "Another antivirus program (AVG Internet Security 2015) is installed on my computer.
Oh, by the way, after upgrading AVG to 2017 once in a while I get a blue screen whith BCCode: badc0de (Locale ID: 4105).
Already ran AVG Remover and AVT Cleaner several times, removed all possible AVG folders and Registry entries and don't know what to do.
Even when I installed Avast, it is stuck in a Passive Mode as well due to "another antivirus program (AVG Interne Security 2015) installed on this computer".

I have a license for AVG Internet Security. My computer was off the network for a period of time. When I reconnected to internet, I discovered AVG no longer appeared to be running on my computer. I thought I would download the licensed software again, but it failed. AVG 2015 shows up in the Control Panel - Programs, but I cannot uninstall it. I want to uninstall AVG on my computer so I can get a "clean" download/install of the current version. When I try to uninstall AVG 2015, a Windows pop up window states, "Please wait until current program is finished uninstalling or being changed".  I think the uninstall is "stuck" and cannot run through its normal uninstall process. And I can't download/install another version because this current version won't go away. 
SInce my license isn't working on this computer, I moved the AVG license to my laptop. At this point I would be happy to download/install AVG Free on this computer, but when I try to install, it errors out with the following message, "Currently used product version does not support this installation. Please uninstall current product and starg again, Error Code: OXE001f98d. This seems to confirm that a version of AVG resides on my computer which is blocking me from running the installation of another AVG product. 
What can I do to get rid of this current version. I downloaded the AVG Uninstaller Tool from the AVG website. It appeared to run, but it didn't get rid of the program.
