Hello, Kelli.
We'd request you to uninstall AVG 2015 and install the latest version of AVG Internet Security to resolve your issue. Click on this link for steps to uninstall AVG 2015. Then refer to steps in this link to download and install latest version of AVG Internet Security.
This should resolve your issue with Link scanner component. For your information, in the latest version of AVG Internet Security, Link scanner feature has been included under advanced Web & Email protection component. It is also true that AVG Zen is coming to end of life.
Please note that AVG Zen is not a product that comes along with AVG Ultimate package. It is an interface where you can manage AVG apps installed on other devices. At the moment, we do not have a replacement for AVG Zen. However, we'd like to take this as your valuable feedback about AVG Zen and pass it up to our developers.
If you need anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.
I tried reaching AVG Support but was unsuccessful. Perhaps the community can help. I hope!
I have a problem regarding AVG ZEN. On the computer I use to manage our other computers and mobiles with ZEN, I noticed that Linkscanner on my AVG Internet Security 2015 needed an update. I received the 'success' pop-up after forcing a manual update but it didn't solve the problem. I then used the repair directions using "add/remove programs' in the control panel. That also failed to solve the problem.
While searching for solutions to this problem, I noticed that AVG Internet Security 2018 is available. I also noticed that version on two of our desktop computers in our Zen network.
This brings me to my questions. First, is it possible to upgrade my AVG Internet Security 2015 to the 2018 version using my Avg Ultimate package that does not expire until summer 2019? I also saw that Zen is being phased out. Is this true or not? Second, is there a new product to replace Zen that is part of my AVG Ultimate package? Third, What is the solution to resolve my Linkscanner issue with AVG Internet Security 2015? (Please note the two steps I've already tried detailed above.)
Thank you for your help with this issue.
